Table of ContentsPLANNING YOUR FUTURE: ESTATE PLANNING FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN
When is estate planning appropriate for a young family or any family? Planning to provide for your family is always appropriate. Parents of young children often postpone estate planning or fail to plan at all for various reasons. Sometimes the decisions seem too difficult to make or they think that they cannot afford the cost of estate planning. This can be a recipe for disaster. Parents should express their choices now rather than postpone the decision altogether. A family with young children often has a home with a mortgage, some life insurance and a small, but growing, nest egg of assets. COMPANY E-MAIL POLICIES VS. EMPLOYEE RIGHTSThe commercial and personal use of e-mail is prevalent, and many employees spend a significant portion of their workday reading and sending e-mail. Employees' heavy use of e-mail in the workplace has opened a Pandora's Box of issues which employers must face. For an employer, what is the line between appropriate monitoring of employee activities and violating an employee's right to privacy or other employee rights? What is appropriate for an e-mail policy? Employers must be careful in the way they enforce their e-mail communications policies. WELCOME JEFFREY M.
